| Heinrich Jochen, born in Windhoek, Namibia, descendant of German settlers of the former colony, received his first continuous guitar lessons at the age of 18 in his country of birth. The intention of becoming a musician lead Jochen to the Hochschule für Musik Leipzig, where he graduated in February 2004. Besides performing in several chamber music projects, he teaches in Leipzig. His concert instrument, a modern ten string guitar with baroque tuning of the additional basses, through its extended range opens a broad repertoire, which does justice to all appropriate
styles. |
